Grants for Artists in South Dakota
The South Dakota Arts Council provides grants for artists who have been a resident of South Dakota for at least the past two years. This grant money is designed to be used to encourage the creative achievement of South Dakota artists, recognize talented artists in any arts discipline, assist artists in continued development of their careers in the arts, and to encourage artists to plan and implement projects that benefit the public.
Those wanting to apply for the grants for artists in South Dakota can apply for only one of the grant per fiscal year, be it the Artist Fellowship, Artist Project Grant, Artist Collaboration Grant, or Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant.
The amount of grant money requested by artists must be no less than $1,000 and no more than $2,000.
